For Endurance Riding, 50-100 mile one day rides, we need high energy without the starch. Unlike some other high fat feeds, the Buckeye feed stays palatable when used in a wet mash. We have used Trifecta and now Cadence Ultra. We also use the Ultimate Finish 100 as a top dressing during rides at the vet checks.

Our absolutely essential Buckeye product is Perform and Win Electrolyte. While other riders are fighting force tubes full of bitter and harsh electrolytes down their horses throats at vet checks, we offer P&W in my hand. My guys eat it out of my hand or off the bucket lid. Less stress. No hassle, All the stuff they need. What more could you ask for?

As for results? (here is the brag part) We recently got 3 first place finishes in a row, and 3 Best condition Awards with two different horses. Doing 50 miles per day in humid conditions on tough trails.

We have been very pleased with how the horses look, their energy levels, and their performance on Buckeye.
I have everything from a stout, "easy keeper" pony to a tall, race bred "hard keeper" Quarter horse gelding and they have all done well and have improved body condition and shinier coats.
My race bred gelding has always been difficult to keep weight on. When we started feeding Buckeye he was ribby and had a poor topline. After six months, he has gained weight, his coat is shinier, his attitude is more alert, and he looks like his old self again.
My daughter's barrel mare has also done well on Buckeye. She looks great, has been running better than ever, and is nationally qualified for the AQHYA World Championship show in Barrel Racing and Youth Stakes.

kiowa lucky duster

I purchased a 4 month old colt 2 years ago and I have struggle tremendously trying to get him up to par. He was already big boned but that was it. He went around looking like a pot belly pony with ribs. I have used Nutrena Safe Choice for years and my horses just stopped eating it, I do not know why. So I was searching for a different affordable feed. I found one that I really like and then also stumbled into Buckeye Nutrition so I put my little Duster on it by himself and all my others on the new feed that I can afford. Duster is starting to look like a real horse and he has only been on it for 2 weeks... a complete turnaround. So I will be going back for more. I rope and barrel race so nutrition is important to me. Thank you for this feed I was at a loss as to what to feed him next. The first photo if it loaded is before Buckeye and the second by himself is the 2 weeks after.

eq8 is a great product

I manage a standardbred breeding farm. We also have our own race horses. We have 75 horses on the farm at this time. We changed to EQ8 Gut Health last fall. The change in our mares and foals is so amazing! Their coats have a sheen that I have never seen on horses that are outside year round. We have several mares and yearlings that are "hard keepers", they have gained weight and look wonderful. Broodmares can be hard to keep weight on especially when they are nursing a foal. My mares are holding their weight so well I will actually be cutting their grain back! This grain is the real deal for weight, coat, feet, digestion, and nursing mares. I have had so many people stop while driving by to ask what we are feeding our horses, that I am thinking of putting a sign by the road that says "we feed Buckeye EQ8 Gut Health and You Should Too!" This years crop of foals are some of the best weanlings that I have ever had. They are well muscled, big stong foals! I would recommend this grain to anyone, and I have changed several people over from other grains. If you want awesome looking horses this is the grain you need!

4-H Horse Camp

A Buckeye Nutrition representative came to our horse camp put on by the 4-H program in my county where she gave a presentation to some of the younger 4-H members. The representative was very informative yet was able to deliver the information in a way that the 4-H members could easily understand. The representative covered all of the important aspects of feeding a horse properly and that feeding does not only affect a horse's health, but also its performance.

After starting on Buckeye feeds their coats got shinier, they had more life and were more eager to show. We just want to say that they look better, show better, and are overall happier than before we made the switch.
