John Sylvester, Ph.D is currently the Director of Research and Quality for MARS Horsecare US, Inc. located in Dalton, Ohio. Dr. Sylvester earned his doctorate in Nutrition Science from Ohio State University. His articles have been published in the Journal of Nutrition, Journal of Dairy Science, Journal of Animal Science and Journal of Microbial Ecology. His research has focused on determining how gastrointestinal microbiology and microbial populations affect host nutrition and animal health.
Currently, he and his team are working closely with the WALTHAM™ Equine Studies Group to develop nutritional programs that enhance horse health and performance.
